ICYM CAL and YCS Bendur Unit in association with St.Sebastian Church, Bendur held Monsoon Traditional Food Fest and Konkani Cultural Programme “Pavsa Gammath”on Sunday, 28th July 2019 at St. Sebastian Church Platinum Jubilee Hall, Bendur

Mr. Nelson Monteiro welcomed the guests and the gathering. Rev. Fr Vincent Monteiro, Parish Priest - St. Sebastian Church, Bendur presided and inaugurated the programme by chopping a jackfruit along with V. Rev.Fr Walter Dmello as Chief Guest, Mr.J.R. Lobo - Former M.L.A, Mangalore South Constituency, Rev. Fr Rohan Dias and Rev. Fr Nelson - Assistant Parish Priests, Mavis Rodrigues - Secretary, Bendur parish pastoral council, Mr.Vinod Dsouza and Mr.Nelson Monteiro, Conveners were present on the dais.

V. Rev. Fr Walter Dmello addressed the gathering and conveyed a beautiful message regarding the importance of conserving our ancestral cultures and traditions. Rev. Fr Rohan Dias thanked the gathering by proposing the vote of thanks. Special attractions of the programme were Traditional Food items, Traditional Konkani Songs sung by Claud, Joswin, Asha and Team, Beautiful Traditional Stage was set-up by MAT Committee under the leadership of Arun. A wonderful cultural performance was performed by YCS and ICYM CAL members which portrayed the traditions of Konkani culture.
