Sep 2 : The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) and (YCS) of St. Rita Church jointly celebrated Teachers' Day with a heartfelt tribute to the parish's dedicated teachers on September 1, 2024. The event commenced with a Eucharistic Mass, followed by a special program to honor the teachers.
YCS President Jenica D'Souza welcomed everyone with a warm introduction, expressing deep appreciation for the teachers' invaluable contributions to the community. As a token of gratitude, each teacher was presented with a small bouquet of roses, symbolizing their role in nurturing young minds and fostering growth and values.
Later, ICYM members organized spot games, dividing the teachers into groups. Parish Priest Fr Eric Crasta honored the winning team with prizes. The program concluded with a vote of thanks led by Elvin D'Souza.
This celebration served as a beautiful reminder of the importance of educators in shaping the future. The ICYM's initiative was met with great appreciation from the parish community.
