Dec 17, 2024 : In the spirit of the Christmas season, the ICYM unit of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Nirkan held the “Christmas – Kheladwari Ekwat 2024” event on December 15th at the St. Thomas Higher Primary School Grounds in Nirkan-Vogga. This fun gathering provided a great chance for parishioners of all ages to come together and take part in exciting games that built community spirit.

The day started with a variety of individual games, beginning with a Shot Put event for men, where participants showed off their strength. For the women, the Hitting the Pot game added a fun and traditional touch, requiring some skill and a bit of luck. Children also had their turn, with several age-appropriate games organized so they could join in the fun.

One of the main attractions of the event was the Slow Bike Race, which created a lot of excitement. Open to men and women aged 18 and over, this race focused on balance and strategy, leading to plenty of laughter and cheers from the crowd. To wrap up the day, everyone participated in a Mystery Box game where surprises were in store for all.

With over 100 parishioners taking part, the event was a big success. It not only provided a day of fun but also brought the community closer together, helping to strengthen friendships among everyone. Overall, the occasion was a joyful celebration of the holiday spirit.
