Sep 1 : The ICYM Kayyar Unit organized the event "Yuva Sahamilan 2023" on August 27, 2023 in the Church Hall. The day began with a ceremonial inauguration at 10:00 a.m. The event was graced by distinguished individuals including Rev Fr. Vishal Monis, the Parish priest and director of ICYM Kayyar Unit, Adv. Fevisha Monteiro from Ranipura, a former ICYM Karnataka Regional Lady Representative, Delwin D'Souza from Maniyampare, the ICYM vice president of Mangalore Diocese, Jason D'Souza from Fajir, the Auditor of Mangalore Diocese, Lavisha Dasy D'Souza from Salethur, the Lady Vice President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Roshan D'Souza, the Vice President of Christ King Church Kayyar, Sr. Reena, the YCS Animator, Jithesh Roshan Crasta, the ICYM President of Kayyar Unit and Melita Flexita D'Souza, the Secretary of ICYM Kayyar Unit.

The inauguration was hosted by Vinitha Reshma D'Souza and commenced with a prayer song performed by ICYM Kayyar unit members. Melita Flexita D'Souza, the secretary, extended a warm welcome to all attendees, followed by the official lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries.

During the ceremony, Fr. Vishal Monis addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of the event and encouraging the participants. Roshan D'Souza, the Vice President of Kayyar Parish, shared his past experiences of service through ICYM. The inaugural session concluded formally with a vote of thanks delivered by Primal D'Souza, the Vice President of ICYM Kayyar Unit.

The morning continued with lively action songs performed by Joel Lancy Crasta Kollangana, accompanied by Sr. Reena. Joel Lancy then led group activities, followed by a session led by Adv. Fevisha Monteiro on making good choices in youth life. After a hearty lunch, the Executive members of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery took over the afternoon session, engaging participants with action songs, games, and more group activities.

As the day drew to a close, a valedictory ceremony was held, hosted by Melita Flexita D'Souza. Dignitaries including Fr. Vishal Monis, Sr. Jasmine Lewis (the ICYM Kayyar unit Animator), Delwin Dsouza (Vice President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese), Jasmitha Dsouza (President of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery), Jithesh Roshan Crasta (President of ICYM Kayyar unit), and Melita Flexita D'Souza (Secretary of ICYM Kayyar unit) were present. Jithesh Roshan Crasta welcomed the attendees, while Fr. Vishal Monis acknowledged the participants' presence and applauded the efforts of the ICYM Kasaragod Deanery Executive members for their successful organization of the program. The "Yuva Sahamilan 2023" concluded with words of gratitude from Vinita D'Souza and a lively DJ performance by Rikson.
