Aug 19 : ICYM Kayyar, in collaboration with the animators of Kayyar Premier League (KPL), organized 'ತ್ರಾಣ್-ನಿತ್ರಾಣ್' -Tug of War for men and women of the Parish and tire-pulling competition for all children on the occasion of Independence Day on August 15, 2023, on Kayyar Church ground.

The flag hoisting ceremony was held at 9:30 a.m., followed by drills and various cultural programs by the schoolchildren. 'ತ್ರಾಣ್-ನಿತ್ರಾಣ್' competitions were inaugurated by Fr. Vishal Monis, Parish Priest of Christ the King Church, Kayyar, along with the Parish Council Vice President Mr. Roshan Dsouza, secretary Mrs. Zeena Dsouza, ICYM President Jithesh Roshan Crasta, and all the captains of various teams of KPL.

The participation and enthusiasm of all teams were well appreciated by the audience. The strength, talent, and dedication of every team were well showcased, and the event gathered all the parishioners together as one family. Fr. Vishal Monis appreciated all the hard work put in by the organizers and all the support received from every individual for the success of this event. The referee of the competition was presented with a small token of love by Jithesh Rohan Crasta, the president of ICYM unit Kayyar. The whole event was a grand success, and the parishioners returned home with wonderful memories.
