July 12 : ICYM Balkunje unit in association with the Environmental commission and Youth Commission celebrated World Environment Day on July 2, 2023. Vicar General of the diocese Msgr Maxim Noronha was present for this event and symbolically distributed saplings to the ward gurkar’s.

There were about 9 different varieties of saplings. The ICYM members distributed these saplings to the parishioners and encouraged to grow them in their surroundings.

Rev. Fr Paul Sequeira, Parish priest of St.Paul Church Balkunje, Dr Freeda Rodrigues, Vice president of parish council, Mrs Nancy Cardoza, Secretary of parish council, Mrs Lavina Serrao, convenor of pastoral commissions, Ms Nelisha Lobo, president of ICYM Balkunje, Ms Neha Serrao, secretary of ICYM Balkunje were present.

Mr Ivan Pinto delivered the vote of thanks. Mr Franky Menezes compered the program.
