Aug 10 : On 6 August, 2023, ICYM Balkunje Unit organized 'Kesard Onji Dina' at Bandasale near Balkunje Church.

The inaugural program was presided by Rev Fr Paul Sequeira, Parish priest of Balkunje Church with chief guests Mr Yellana Gowda Patil, Agriculture Technical Manager, Mrs Mamatha D Poonja, President of Balkunje Grama Panchayat, Dr Freeda Rodrigues, Vice president of Balkunje Parish council. ICYM Balkunje President Ms Nelisha Lobo and secretary Ms Neha Serrao were also present on stage.

The inaugural function began with a prayer song by members of ICYM Balkunje unit followed by procession and an oath taking ceremony.

Various games were conducted on this day. The parishioners as well as locals of Balkunje enjoyed playing and actively took part in the sports. The games included running races, tug of war, relay and many more. There was a Baila dance towards the end of the event. Finally, rice seedlings were planted in the field by the ICYM members with the help of Parishioners.

Nelisha Lobo welcomed the gathering, Neha Serrao delivered the vote of thanks. Reshal Rodrigues compered the program.
