Aug 6 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement  St Joseph Vaz, Mangalore South Deanery Celebrated  ‘YOUTH  LIFT’ – Love in Friendship and Truth  on 31st July 2022 at 9.30 am in Our Lady of  Mercy Church hall, Fajir.

The programme was led by the prayer song. Roystan  Dsouza , President of ICYM South Deanery welcomed the gathering.

The director of ICYM South Deanery Rev. Fr. Jayaprakash  DSouza , Vice president of the parish pastoral committee of Fajir church Mr. Richard  D Souza , General Secretary of ICYM Mangalore Diocese Dr. Nishal Preemal D Souza, Resource Person for the Programme Mr. Lanwin Lobo, ICYM Mangalore Diocese Joint Secretary Alrick D Silva , ICYM Diocese Mangalore Auditor Melston Noronha , ICYM Fajir Unit President Jaison D Souza were the dignitaries  present along with  ICYM South Deanery President Roystan D Souza, ICYM South Deanery Secretary Achell D Souza.

The programme was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Jayaprakash  D Souza and Richard D Souza. In the presidential speech Fr. Jayaprakash appreciated the hard work of youth in organizing this event.

Ashvia Rodrigues, auditor of  ICYM South Deanery gave the introduction of  the resource person Mr. Lanwin Lobo. He addressed the youth on the topic ‘Role of youth in youth organizations or Association’. He also conducted various activities.

This session was followed by the Holy Eucharist at  Our Lady Of Mercy Church. The holy mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr Jayaprakash Dsouza , the director of ICYM Mangalore South deanery and was concelebrated by  Rev. Fr Anil D’Souza, the Parish priest of Fajir.

Rev. Fr. Rupesh Madtha  addressed the youth on the topic ‘Friendship with God and Faith’. He also conducted some activities to keep the youth very active during the session.

Dr. Nishal Preemal  D Souza, Fevisha Monterio , Anil Sequiera Borimar were felicitated for their achievements in ICYM.

South Deanery Vicar Forane Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto , Director of ICYM Mangalore Diocese Rev. Fr. Ashwin Cardoza , Parish priest of Our Lady of Mercy church Fajir Fr. Anil Dsouza , President of ICYM Mangalore diocese Anil Sequiera were also present for the program.

On account of the 30th Jubilee year of ICYM Mangalore South Deanery, the logo was inaugurated by the dignitaries. Ancilla Pinto gave a short introduction about the logo.

Achell Dsouza proposed the vote of thanks and Jevita Ferraro was the MC of the programme. 122 youth from 10 units were present and enjoyed the day full of fun, learning and joy.
