Jan 7 : The Deva Matha Youth Movement (ICYM), Mogarnad Unit, in collaboration with the YCS Mogarnad Unit, successfully organized "Christmas Sanz" on December 25th 2025. The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Rev. Fr. Anil Canute D'Mello, Director of DMYM and Parish Priest of Mogarnad; Rev. Fr. Naveen Prakash Pinto, Principal of Deva Matha English Medium School; Deacon Melwyn D'Souza; and Chief Guest Mr. Ronald Martis. Other notable attendees included Fr. Austin, Br. Joel Monteiro, Sr. Anne (Head of Deva Matha Convent), and several parish leaders such as Mr. Santhosh D'Souza (Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council), Mr. Wilfred Lobo (Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council), Mrs. EmilianaD'Cunha (Coordinator of all Church Commissions), Mr. Prashanth Lewis (Animator of DMYM), Mr. Melroy D'Souza (President of DMYM), and Ms. FlavitaPriya Pinto (Secretary of DMYM).

The program began at 6:30 pm with an energetic and graceful Introduction Dance performed by the active members of DMYM. The Master of Ceremonies, Melvita and Praveen, welcomed the audience with a heartwarming introduction. A prayer song marked the beginning of the event, followed by a captivating Christmas Tableau that beautifully portrayed the story and spirit of Christmas.

What made the evening truly special was its timing with the parish's 250th anniversary. The event reached its pinnacle with the celebration of the quarter millennial jubilee of the Mogarnad parish. In a symbolic and heartwarming gesture, 250 lamps were lit by 250 people, each representing the light and grace that has illuminated the parish for over 250 years. This moment was further enhanced by the simultaneous singing of the jubilee song, filling the air with joy and gratitude for the countless blessings bestowed upon the community over the years. To mark the occasion, the jubilee year program list was also officially released, showcasing the many planned events and activities that will further unite and strengthen the parish throughout the year.

The evening continued with an impressive array of cultural programs, performed by parishioners of all ages. The performances beautifully showcased the talent and creativity of the community, ranging from small children to senior citizens, each contributing to the vibrant spirit of the evening. The young ones delivered delightful dances and songs, while the seniors added their charm with performances that highlighted the deep cultural roots of the parish. The diversity of these presentations reflected the rich tapestry of the parish community, bringing everyone together in a shared celebration of Christmas, faith, and unity.
