Aug 18 : ICYM Manela Unit in association with Parish Sports Committee organised ‘Gadhyanth Gammath’ with the motto "Win or lose, stay close" for all the parishioners on Sunday, 14th August 2022 in Mrs. Dulcin Cutinha’s field at Greenfields at 10.00 am. The event began with a grand march past by 4 groups with traditional wearing & items to the field. Ms. Jeswita led the prayer song along with other ICYM members.

The Parish Priest and ICYM Director Rev Fr Paul Prakash Dsouza, Mr. Edward Dsouza & Mrs. Lilly Dsouza & family as chief guest, Br. Colin, Convent Superior Sr. Saritha, Sr. Pravita, Sr. Sushmitha, Parish Council Vice President Mr. Cyril Ferrao, Parish Council Secretary Mr. Urban Dsouza, Gurkars of three wards Mr. Everest, Mr. Mourice, Mr. Francis, Sports Committee Leader Mr. Roshan Tellis and ICYM President Mr. Hrithwik DSouza were present on the dais.

The ICYM President Mr. Hrithwik welcomed the gathering. The event was inaugurated by Transplanting paddy seedlings. Parish Priest Rev Fr. Prakash Dsouza delivered the Presidential address regarding the event. ICYM Secretary Ms. Melvita delivered vote of thanks and Ms. Nishmitha was the MC of the inaugural ceremony.

The entire parishioners were divided into 4 groups consisting of all ages. Various games were played between them like tug of war, dodgeball, relay, treasure hunt, race, backward race and other exciting games have been played with the help of Parish Sports Committee.

In the closing ceremony, winners were awarded trophies and medals. Guests and sponsors were honoured with mementos. Ms. Mishal was the MC of the Closing ceremony. Overall it was a fun filled and enjoyable day.
