July 24 : On June 23, 2024, AYM celebrated Environment Day and Vanamahotsava at Golden Jubilee Hall at 8:30 AM. After breakfast, the emcee Richeal Castelino introduced the event, followed by a hymn by AYM members. President Rayan Lobo welcomed everyone, and the parish priest gave a green welcome to the chief guest, Mr. Mark Sera. Olinka Lobo introduced the chief guest. A sapling plantation marked the inauguration and environmental commitment.
Fr. Frederick Monteiro shared short messages on the importance of the day. Mr. Mark Sera spoke about kitchen gardening and water harvesting, sharing personal experiences and videos, and answered questions from the audience. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Rhea Dsouza, the AYM secretary. The celebration was a success, fostering community spirit and environmental dedication.
