Nov 14 : ICYM, Nirkan Unit on 13 November, 2022, on the occasion of Children’s Day organized ‘Bhurgyank Khel’, an event comprising various fun games for children of Nirkan Parish. On this occasion, Rev. Fr Leo William Lobo, Director, ICYM Nirkan Unit; Sr Celine Vas, Superior, Holy Family Bethany Convent, Nirkan; Sr Sevrin Fernandes, Head Mistress, St Thomas School, Nirkan; Mr Vincent Bennis, Vice President, Parish Pastoral Council; Ms Maria Monisha D’Souza, Vice President, ICYM Bantwal Deanery and Br Norman Mathias were present. Henvil Valder, Asha Priya, Melwita Crasta and Br Norman, accompanied by all ICYM members conducted games for children.

Following games were conducted in four categories:

Category 1 : Till 3rd standard.
- Passing the cap.
- Throwing cricket balls into the bucket.

Category 2 : 4th to 7th standard.
- Filling water in the bottle.
- One leg race.

Category 3 : 8th to 10th standard.
- Paper lengthening game.
- Storm and flood game.

Category 4 : 1st and 2nd PUC.
- Balloon and cups game.
- Race carrying pebbles on one’s head.

At the end, a lucky game ‘Suicide Bomber’ was held for all in common. Winners were awarded with medals. An active participation was witnessed and everyone enjoyed the event till its fullest.
