Dec 31 : On 25th December 2024 at 5.00 pm in St Antony church ground , the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Ujire unit marked a significant milestone – its 40th anniversary (1984 - 2024). The momentous occasion was celebrated with a series of events that showcased the organization's rich history, vibrant culture, and unwavering commitment to empowering young minds.
Carols
The celebration was commenced by a melodious rendition of Christmas carols, sung by the parish ward members . The festive atmosphere was palpable as the audience joined in, singing to the timeless tunes.
Inauguration
The inauguration ceremony marked the official launch of the 40th-anniversary celebrations.

President of ICYM Ujire Laren Monis welcomed all the guests. The program was inaugurated with a 40 year ICYM logo launch.
The journey of 40 years of ICYM (report) was presented by Hency Melisha Serrao, secretary of ICYM Ujire. Followed by prize distribution of various competitions conducted during the ruby jubilee year.
Subsequently wonderful inspirational praising talks from the honorable guests.
All the presidents from 1984 were honoured. For all the beneficence were given the token of love as a memento.
Cultural Event
The cultural event that followed was a vibrant showcase of music, dance, and drama. Ujire parishioners according to the wards presented a range of performances, reflecting the diversity and richness of Indian culture. The event was a testament to the organization's efforts to promote talent, creativity, and teamwork among its members.
The event was followed by a delicious dinner.
The 40th-anniversary celebration of ICYM was a resounding success, attended by 600 of members, dignitaries, and well-wishers. The event served as a poignant reminder of the organization's enduring legacy and its continued commitment in shaping the success of the celebration.
