Sept 15, 2017: Indian Catholic Youth Movement Sacred Heart of Jesus Church Shamboor unit organized on the occasion of Nativity feast "UBRANTH UDKANA-2k17" for all Shamboor parishioners. This program was held near Shamboor Church on 10th September 2017 from morning 9:30 to evening 4:30 p.m.
Rev. Fr. Henry Dsouza Sfx director of ICYM Mogarnad deanery inaugurated the program along with Rev. Fr. Gerald Pinto Parish Priest and director of ICYM Shamboor Unit, Mr. Gilbert Pinto Vice President Parish Pastoral, Lancy Crasta Animator ICYM Shamboor Unit, Avlin Joy President ICYM Mogarnad deanery, Melwin Pais President ICYM Shamboor Unit and Leediya Lobo Secretary ICYM Shamboor Unit.
All four wards of Shamboor Parish - St. Antony Ward,St. John Ward, Sacred Heart Ward and St. Sebestian Ward participated in all games such as three legged race, reverse race, Kabaddi, dodge ball, tug off war, relay, treasure hunt etc. with great enthusiasm.
Many spectators of different religion enjoyed this program. Breakfast and lunch was arranged by ICYM Shamboor Unit. Many donors helped for this program to be a success. Much encouragement was there from our beloved priest and all our parishioners. Sanod Lobo and Sujay Lobo were the master of ceremony of this program.
St. Antony Ward grabbed Championship, St. Sebestian Ward, Sacred Heart Ward, St. John Ward took 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively. President Melwin Pais welcomed the gathering, secretary Leediya LOBO did vote of thanks.we are glad to tell that icym shamboor unit organized a very successful event which was apreciated by everyone.
