Oct 10 : The Indian Catholic Youth Movement Shirthady Unit, along with the Health Commission of Shirthady, organized a free cancer check-up camp on October 8, 2023. The inaugural ceremony commenced at 09:30 a.m.

The inaugural function was presided over by Rev. Fr. Harold Mascarenhas, director of the ICYM shirthady unit and the other dignitaries were Jacintha Rodrigues, secretary of Mount Carmel Parish, Dr. Anil, president of the Health Commission Shirthady, Mrs. Agnes, president of the Shirthady panchayat, head of the Jewels Group, doctors of Father Muller's Hospital, and members of the Indian Cancer Society.

Ms. Crystal Riya Pinto hosted the entire program. Mrs. Jacintha Rodrigues welcomed the gathering. The ICYM shirthady unit invoked God's blessings through a prayer song. The inauguration was done by the dignitaries.

Mrs. Agnes, President of Shirthady Panchayat, spoke about cancer awareness, which enlightened the gathering about cancer.

Rev. Fr. Harold Mascarenhas gave a brief explanation about the cancer and also inspired all the members through his thoughts.

The inaugural ceremony came to an end in a formal way with a vote of thanks by Dr. Anil Shirthady, President of the Health Commission, and the session was also continued by him.
