Sep 14 : ICYM Vamanjoor along with the parish Health Commission and Youth Commission organized a Blood Donation Camp in association with Fr. Muller Medical College Hospital Kankanady, Mangalore on September 10, 2023 at Vamanjoor Church Hall.

The event commenced at 09:00 AM with a prayer song led by ICYM members. The distinguished guests present included Dr. Chaithanya MBBS - the Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. James Dsouza - Parish priest and Director of ICYM Vamanjoor, Rev. Fr. Ivan Ashwin Dsouza - Assistant Parish priest, Mr. Charles Pais - Vice President of the Pastoral Committee and ICYM animator, Mr. Anil Pinto - All Committee Convenor, Mr. Denis Dsouza - Health Commission Secretary, Preethika Dsouza - ICYM President, Loystan Crasta - ICYM Secretary, and Stephen Baretto - Red Drop Representative.

Noel Santhumayor hosted the event, and Mr. Charles Pais extended a warm welcome to all attendees. Rev. Fr. James Dsouza delivered a speech emphasizing the significance of youth involvement in blood donation and expressed gratitude to ICYM, the Health Commission, and the Youth Commission for their efforts. Dr. Chaithanya encouraged the youth to donate blood and elaborated on the importance of this noble act.

The blood donation drive commenced after the stage program, with donors volunteering to contribute to our life-saving mission. They successfully collected over 60 units of blood, with the valuable participation of 13 members from the Fr. Muller team. ICYM expresses its heartfelt gratitude for their assistance in making this event a resounding success.

During the event, they received support from ICYM Paldane Unit, who also generously volunteered to donate their blood.
