Nov 9 : On 1st November 2024, ICYM Vamanjoor unit organized 'Minkuli Saanz', a cultural competition aimed at the youngest children of Vamanjoor, aged between 5-18, at Vamanjoor Church Hall. This vibrant event provided a unique platform for young talents to showcase their creativity and skills in front of a supportive audience.

The program commenced at 4:00 PM with a prayer service led by ICYM members. The inauguration was presided over by Rev. Fr. James Dsouza - Parish Priest, along with Rev. Fr. Jayaprakash Dsouza,Rev. Fr. Ivan Ashwin Dsouza - Asst Parish Priest, Mrs. Raina Sequeira, Mr. Clarence Pinto, Mr. Charles Pais - ICYM Animator, Mr. Anil Pinto - All Committee Convener, Mr. Loystan Crasta - ICYM President, and Ms. Smitha Maria Dsouza - ICYM Secretary, who were all present on the dais.

Avineel Lasrado and Jacqueline Cardoza welcomed the gathering warmly and enthusiastically, setting a joyful tone for the evening. The event was then opened with a welcome dance by ICYM members. Mr. Johnson Dsouza introduced the judges and briefed everyone on the rules and format of the competitions. The main events included a Fancy-Dress Competition, MAD-ADD, Singing Competition, and Dance Competition. In his address, the Parish Priest highlighted the significance of 'Minkuli Saanz', encouraging all participants to make the most of this opportunity to express their talents.

Sponsors and notable achievers were honored during the event in recognition of their contributions and accomplishments. The ICYM members also performed a lively dance to entertain the attendees, adding excitement and joy to the evening. Ms. Smitha Maria Dsouza delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone involved in making the event a success.

The announcement of results and prize distribution marked the program’s concluding highlights, with special remarks from the judges. They praised the children’s remarkable talents and shared words of encouragement for their future growth. The evening concluded with the traditional baila dance at 8:15 PM, bringing the joyful event to a memorable closure.
