Nov 10 : The ICYM unit of St Anthony Church Bannur in association with KMC hospital Manipal under ICYM Red Drop Account organised a blood donation camp on 6th October 2022 at Bannur Church Hall.

The program began with a prayer song led by ICYM members. The camp was inaugurated with the lighting of lamp. The camp commenced at 9:00am.

Mr. Anthony Mascarenhas, ICYM Bannur unit Vice president welcomed the gathering. Rev Fr. Prashanth Fernandes the Parish priest and Director of ICYM Bannur unit spoke about the importance of blood donation and encouraged the youth and youngsters. Rev. Fr. Alphons Moras , ICYM Animator Mr. Lawrence Fernandes, Church Parish council Vice President Mr.Thomas Fernandes, ICYM Bannur unit Secretary Dionnna Menezes and other 15 members of ICYM were present on the dais.

Dr. Venkat who was incharge of this blood donation camp spoke about the importance of blood by saying " The gift of blood is a gift to someone's life."

Total 65 members registered for blood donation and 50 members were  eligible to donate their blood and made it a successful one.

Bannur unit Secretary Dionnna Menezes proposed the vote of thanks. As a token of gratitude, the hospital staff handed over memento to ICYM Bannur Unit and congratulated them for organizing this event and encouraged them to organize many more in future.
