July 23 : The ICYM Central Council organized a comprehensive training program for its members on July 20-21, 2024, at Olivet House, Jeppu. The theme of the program was "L.E.A.D. - Leadership Excellence And Development." The event featured expert resource persons who led various sessions.

On July 20, Jaison Pereira, Past President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese conducted a session on "How to lead Taize prayer," where he explained the history and steps involved in the ceremony. Winston Sequiera, President of ICYM Mangalore diocese, welcomed the participants, while Rev. Fr. Ashwin Lohith Cardoza, Director of ICYM Mangalore diocese, proposed the vote of thanks.

The second day began with a Eucharistic Celebration, led by Rev. Dr. Sunil George Dsouza who emphasized the importance of emotional control in leadership. ICYM Central Council felicitated Rev. Dr. Sunil for receiving doctorate in Commerce.

Dr. Mona Jacqueline Mendonca, HOD of History at St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University) then conducted a session on "Basic Grooming," covering topics such as personal hygiene, family responsibilities, professional life, and societal obligations. Ashlin Dsouza, General Secretary of ICYM Mangalore diocese, welcomed the speaker, while Jaison Dsouza Regional Representative proposed the vote of thanks.

Norbert Misquith, working at New Mangalore Port Authority, led an interactive session on exploring various activities, including ice-breaking, warm-up games, and team-building exercises. Sharvin Dsouza, Diocesan ICYM P.R.O., welcomed the speaker, while Suzanna Ferrao council member gave the vote of thanks.

The program was attended by Rev. Fr. Ashwin Cardoza - Director of ICYM Mangalore Diocese along with Diocesan ICYM President  Wlinston Sequiera , The General Secretary Ashlin Dsouza , and all Central Council members. The event aimed to equip the members with leadership skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
