Jan 16 : The 29th ICYM Karnataka Regional Council Meeting was held on January 14, 2025, at the Pastoral Center, Bajjodi, Mangalore, hosted by the ICYM Mangalore Diocese. Representatives from ten dioceses participated in the event.
The day began with a Holy Mass, followed by the official inauguration of the meeting with a prayer song by the youth of Karwar Diocese. The meeting was inaugurated by watering a plant, symbolizing growth and unity, by Bishop Most Rev. Dr. Henry D'Souza, Chairman of the KRCBC Youth Commission. Winston Joel Sequeira, President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, welcomed the gathering, and Fr. Lourd Raj, Karnataka Regional Youth Director, delivered the introductory note.

Chief Guest Fr. Santhosh Rodrigues, Director of the Pastoral Center, Bajjodi, addressed the attendees, followed by insights shared by Fr. Ashwin Lohith Cardoza, ICYM Director of Mangalore Diocese. Bishop Most Rev. Dr. Henry D'Souza delivered the presidential address. During the program, Ashley D'Souza and Nevin Antony were honored for receiving the National Youth Award for their achievements in youth ministry.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Ashley D'Souza, ICYM Karnataka Regional Secretary. Sr. Molly, Karnataka Regional Youth Lady Animator, and Vileena Gonsalves, ICYM Karnataka Regional President, were also present. The program was hosted by Steena D'Souza.
Following the formal program, discussions were held on the ICYM Karnataka Regional agenda. The meeting concluded with lunch.
