Jan 1 : On the evening of December 25, 2024, ICYM Bantwal Unit enthusiastically celebrated Christmas with parishioners at the Infant Jesus Church premises.

The inaugural program was presided over by dignitaries including Rev. Fr. Valerian D'Souza (Parish Priest), Rev. Fr. Lancy D'Souza (Assistant Parish Priest), Rev. Fr. Melwin Lobo (Principal, Infant Jesus English Medium School), Mr. Sunil Veigas (Vice President, Infant Jesus Church), Mr. Manohar D'Costa (Secretary, Infant Jesus Church), Mr. Sunil Lewis (ICYM Animator), Mrs. Veena Goveas (Coordinator of all Commissions), Mr. Rickson Tauro (ICYM President), Mr. Ashwin Lobo (ICYM Secretary), and Santa Claus.

Preparations for the event began on December 1, with the setting up of the Christmas crib. A cultural event followed at 6:00 p.m.

Rickson Tauro, President of ICYM Bantwal Unit, welcomed the guests and the gathering. Rev. Fr. Valerian D'Souza addressed the gathering on the significance of Christmas.

The program was compered by Royston D'Souza, and Ashwin Lobo proposed the vote of thanks.

The celebration featured a range of events, including an auction, dance performances, skits, and singing competitions. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions conducted by ICYM.

Santa Claus was a major attraction, entertaining the crowd with his dance and appearance. The evening concluded with a baila dance performance by all the parishioners.
